One of the most important things we can teach our kids is personal responsibility. I learned early in life that my actions had consequences some good and some bad. I was raised by people who loved me. There were some rough times and tough love got us through. I didn't have many friends my age in my immediate neighborhood so I mostly played over my grandparents house on the NORTHSIDE. Everyone knew each other and us kids were all treated like family by the neighbors. I got in trouble for making up stories and my grandmother scolded me. I learned then that when you do something wrong punishment follows. I also went to private schools where Nuns wielded the "board of education" but that's another story for another day. Until then.
